As a kid, how many times did you arrive to a jar full of candy only to see it drained except for a bunch of leftover orange candies (thinking: Starbursts in particular). One big sigh and a major disappointment later you eventually leave because not only do you not want to break your teeth off by the hard as rock candies BUT… you’d rather have NO candy at all than to be stuck with orange candy instead (oh the horror).
Everyone always wanted the red ones of these or the blue ones of those. GREEN was even better than orange. During sporting event timeouts, orange was never the chosen color picked to win the Dot Race! Poor orange. Nobody ever wanted you on their team. It’s a sad sob story if you think about it…
SO WHY NOT ORANGE?
There are many great things about the color orange.
--Orange is the color of orange juice. Orange juice is especially good with pizza but that has nothing to do with color at all… it all just tastes good together.
--When I wear orange I feel more tan. Eating carrots also does this, but I think you have to eat several hundred pounds of them in one day for your skin to change color.
--Orange is the color of a beautiful sunset.
--Orange compliments those with blue eyes like myself.
--My nephew The Colton-Man can’t say orange… he says, “urnch”.
--Orange is the color of a duck’s bill and feet… they are fun to throw bread to… just beware the geese!
--Push-Up Pops are a tasty colored orange.
--Grilled cheese… or just some cheese is orange. I heart cheese.
--Sweet potatoes always surprise me with how strikingly bright colored orange they are inside… quite beautiful!
--Tang.
--The lids of Gatorade, not to mention the lightening bolt from the logo.
