I GET IT

So I get the Star Wars obsession.

Finally, finally… I am watching Star Wars. All of them. How many are there? Five or six? I’m pretty sure it’s six. Certain peoples kept on bugging me about watching them because yes, here I am, thirty years old and had never seen a Star Wars episode all the way through. Well, all that changed last week. Crazy right? Everyone else seemed to think so too… Along with not having seen Goonies. Yeah.

Since I have not seen any of the Episodes, I had a choice. Do I want to watch them in order of how they were released or in order-order of Episode 1, then 2, 3 and so on? I chose in order of Episode and find it pretty unique to watch this way since the majority of people have watched them the other way (certainly not by choice).

So far, I’ve completed Episode 2 and there’s so much more to come that I don’t even know! There are way too many questions and I keep on asking this and asking that, but honestly, I really don’t want to know until it comes along in the episode that it’s supposed to occur.

For instance, I don’t even know who Darth Vador is or how he even comes into the picture. Right now we just had the bad clone war with the Jedis. They don’t even call all the white good guys Storm Troopers yet, but I know that that’s what they are because someone leaked out information. Dum-dum.

One other cool thing I have recognized (other than how terribly bad I wish light sabors were for real) is that Yoda sounds like Grover from Sesame Street. My resources tell me the same guy does both voices and I believe it. Now that I hear Grover, it’s kind of hard to take Yoda very seriously because I think he should be bouncing around with long, fuzzy, blue arms, singing dumb counting songs. **Another tidbit of info is that Yoda looks a lot like my parents Boston Terrier, Maggie. Let me rephrase that, Maggie looks a lot like Yoda, since Yoda came first. But, I’m serious… seriously.

Episode 3 is next and I feel as if I’m on some sort of adventure each time I watch another one. I love them. I really can’t believe it’s taken me this long to finally sit down and watch. Oh yeah, and I can’t believe Anakin and the Senator got married. Oh my gosh.

Obi-Wan: But Master Yoda says I should be mindful of the future.
Qui-Gon Jinn: But not at the expense of the moment.

SIGNED: GOT IT, GOOD

I am very happy for you. Seriously. How you've made it through your entire life without them is a mystery to me though...
