BESIDE THE POINT

Here are the random thoughts that popped into my head throughout today. Pretty much, things I would have enjoyed telling a friend or Twitter, but did not.

- Why do banana nut muffins have to taste so good but be so unbelievably bad? Reminds me of the "muffin top" song from 30 Rock.

- Classical music or techno music makes me work really well.

- Am wearing big earrings today - this is not normal.... usually I stick with studs.

- "That's what she said"

- Grapefruit is the greatest fruit but is not meant to be eaten while drinking coffee.

- Today is like a rollercoaster - highs and lows.

- Talking on the phone wearing big earrings is a big challenge.

- God blessed Lauryn Hill with the best voice ever. Love.

- If I could or would ever karakie it would be to a Lauryn Hill song. Unfortunately my execution would be very very poor, which is why its called karioke.

- Why is karioke such a difficult word to spell? Karioke? Kareoki? Kariokae? (time to Google) Karaoke! Also means, "empty orchestra"...you could have found that out not just from Wikipedia but also from Ted on How I Met Your Mother, Season 1.

- Here's the most awesome thing I've seen all day... stacked books, like LOTS and LOTS of them. Amazingly beautiful to my eyes.

It's called "Scanner" by artist Matej Kren and is at the Museum of Modern Art in Bologna. Books were chosed because "of their nature as seat of knowledge, as symbols of intrinsically human free thought".

The installation is to reportedly challenge one's ideas on spatial perception, but I also wonder to what extent a viewer is made to feel physically impotent in the face of so much knowledge stacked up against them. (No Wonders)

- Neck/shoulder cramp from too many clicks with my right hand on the mouse.

- Time to shut down shop.

Sometimes people ask what it is I tweet and why I post the things I do. I would tell them that its anything that pops into my head that I have no one to tell at that moment. Rather than keeping that useless, but oh-so-important information to myself, I decide to share it with the world, simple as that.

SIGNED: THAT'S A WRAP

A few things - oh, how I wish I could listen to music at work. I agree, big earrings are cumbersome while talking on the phone - they klink against the phone and make annoying noises. Those stacked books are awesome.
