GOODYBE TWENTIES, HELLO THIRTIES

Today, I turned 30. Yes, three zero. The big one. My daddio really has a gift for writing little poems. Here's the one he sent this morning before the pings on my iPhone started alerting me of all the Facebook happy birthday wishes. Oh birthdays. They always make you feel more special than you probably even deserve. This one has been lovely. I can honestly say, I'm ready for thirty and the years that are before me.

Christin Dawn, Age 30 (whew!):

Sometimes 30 something isn’t too bad…..
No reason to be sad
So this is a little advise from your Dad

Better than peanut butter is your life
Even with bumpers busted and other strife
No one to call you “wife” (yet)

The future is full of hope for you
Keep your attitude good in everything you do
And your reward in heaven will be greater too.

Fun in the sun is the way
Cloudy stuff can stay away
