Saturday- Brother, Laynie, along with the cutest niece and nephew ever, arrived in town to devour some yummy goodness. Chicken and dumplings and cherry pie... how can you go wrong with that?! Nothing is better than mom's home cooking...

And then there were dogs! Maggie Mae and Tater Tot played nonstop all weekend. Two little Bosties is quite the entertainment... Well, not only that... but along came the hermit crabs to show the Colton-Man (and it was quite the crazy house). He kept on saying, "Oh my gosh... I luv them, they are sooo cuuute!". First time I've heard my crabs be called cute... but hey, I'm sure they heard the compliment and rejoiced, jumping for joy inside their little shell-houses.
Sister Lindsay and Colin's engagement party was Sunday. Abuelo's filled our bellies as more family came in town. It was great to see old faces and friends and such a good time to catch up. Of course, when guac, queso and fajitas/quesadillas/burritos/tacos/enchilladas are involved, how can things not be so good? Aaaand there was cake! Yum-ERS!
Some more pictures from the weekend...

Such a good time spent away from the city and into the burbs with my fam.
What in your life is calling you? When all the noise is silenced, the meetings adjourned, the lists laid aside, and the wild iris blooms by itself in the dark forest, what still pulls on your soul?
In the silence between your heartbeats hides a summons, do you hear it? Name it, if you must, or leave it forever nameless, but why pretend it is not there? (The Terma Collective)
