WEEKEND RECAP

My smallgroup had been planning on escaping the city for some time now. Thus we finally made it happen (well, thanks to Caso and our two marvelous drivers Ginger and Megan). The weather couldn't had been more perfect for a weekend getaway.

In a quick summary:

Friday
- got off work
- met up to depart for Tahlequah, Oklahoma
- 1st stop: Taco Casa in Durant, Oklahoma
- 2nd stop: The World's Largest Peanut monument!
- 3rd stop: Walmart - headlight out
- Arrival at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah
- Issue: Casey finds the key but unfortunately locks us out
- 1am maybe? We settle in for the night

Saturday
- rise and shine
- 4 play Scrabble and the other 4 grocery shop
- make lunch and depart for the Illinois River
- float/kayak!
- shopping at the most fantastic thrift store EVER (Speckled Hen) Worthy finds: Michael Jackson earrings and a very informative book purchased for our friend Jen who couldn't make it for the weekend.
- dinner at Casey's family friends house which included massive bowls of homemade ice cream and brownie! (we were in heaven)
- found an Irish Pub in town and had some good dark brews and cider
- ended the night watching Definitely, Maybe

Sunday
- breakfast
- departure
- ate at Mazzio's Pizza for lunch
- arrive 4ish or so hours later
- rush to hit up the 5pm service
- and that night... Cowboy game vs Green Bay!

[Feeling rather blah about the blogging lately... please forgive. My sniffles, sneezes, watery eyes and scratchy throat are making me weak.]

SIGNED: ANNOYING ALLERGIES!
