Ho-hum... No? Well how 'bout some leftover quotes instead of leftover cheeseball?
"Every human is an artist. The dream of your life is to make beautiful art" --don Miguel Ruiz
"We go where our vision is" --Joseph Murphy
"Goodness is the only investment that never fails" --Henry Thoreau
Well, let me think… what else, what else?!
I have to say God has been good lately… and I’m pretty sure I don’t thank Him enough for being so loving and merciful to me. I can get so caught up in living life because the world and our selfishness make it so easy to do. How undeserving of His love I feel when I realize I’ve focused an entire day on myself. He daily grants me with His riches and beauty that are not of the worlds but are always far more sweet and so much better. All too often my eyes are shut and my heart is closed to what is so plain and simple right in front of me.
Maybe if there is anything in 2008 that I would seek the most it would be to have eyes to see. I can only imagine how good the year would be if my attention was refocused more on Him and less on this world or myself.
Psalm 119:33-40 in The Message says this:
God, teach me lessons for living
so I can stay the course.
Give me insight so I can do what you tell me—
my whole life one long, obedient response.
Guide me down the road of your commandments;
I love traveling this freeway!
Give me a bent for your words of wisdom,
and not for piling up loot.
Divert my eyes from toys and trinkets,
invigorate me on the pilgrim way.
Affirm your promises to me—
promises made to all who fear you.
Deflect the harsh words of my critics—
but what you say is always so good.
See how hungry I am for your counsel;
preserve my life through your righteous ways!
There is so much to live by in this scripture.
-stay the course
-be wise
-live life in an obedient response
-divert eyes away from the world
-listen to the hope and goodness that comes in knowing the Lord
-be steadfast in the journey to know Him more
SIGNED: How good life truly is… I love traveling this freeway!
