TEXAS TWENTY

No, I did not run in this... I wish!

Saturday morning, the Texas Twenty and 5k was held across the street in Victory Park. Of course Maggie Mae woke me up EARLY at 7am or so... so we strolled on over with Nicole who was walking in it with some of our friends from highschool.

Because of the never-ending, CRAZY heel pain that is still throbbing in my left foot... Mags and I walked with them for .25 of a mile and then turned around. We strolled through and around Victory as they went on without us even meeting a potential play mate for Mags named Princess. P.S. Princess was quite fugly and not at all that cute of a dog, mind you. Why is it that people with the name Princess (or those whom act like they should be one) or dogs named Princess completely are NOT suitable to be called any kind of royalty?! This reminds me of that Erica, Houston socialite on the Bachelor a few seasons back!?! Yep. Exactly.

Once our group finished the race, we all enjoyed the catered food and beverages. This is why you run 5k's! Any kind of race competition always has never-ending mounds of treats afterwards for the participants. However, I say that even if you DIDN'T compete... go mooch off the free stuff anyways... they always have more than enough... and that's exactly what I did!

There was catered chicken/bbq sandwiches from a restaurant nearby, bananas galore, Cliff bars, and some free Michelob Ultra (for those of y'all that like to drink it up at 9:30am!). Troy Duncan, from Channel 8 weather was there to host the event and some hoochie "up-and-coming" 40 or so year old country singer was there to show off her tummy baring 40 year old midrift... oh yeah, and fancy us with some of her up-and-coming hits off her new cd out in stores now ("go getcha self one!"). All and all... a fun event even if I didn't get to run in it... instead, I just looked around at all the runners and thought, "better you and not me!". Haha, just kidding... I actually looked at them and felt way the HECK outta shape!

And afterwards, you wouldn't have thought we'd still be hungry but we were, so we went took it over to Breadwinners for some amazing brunch and mimosa's. Ahhh, such delish bread there... I heart you Breadwinners!

SIGNED: THAT BEER WAS SO DISGUSTING I HAD TWO!
