SCENES WITH THE FAM

Dad (walking and talking) on the phone with his sister

Mom (in the kitchen) cooking up some sopaipillas... we had a Mexican Thanksgiving dinner today... tomorrow is the real stuff with turkey and dressing.

Lindsay (sitting in the kitchen) on the phone with my brother who lives three hours away... chatting about the snow he got at his house - his fam will be coming here tomorrow unless the 6 inches of snow that are expected fall overnight snow them in.

Colin (in the kitchen) chatting with Lindsay who is now off the phone

Maggie Mae (on the hearth) warming herself by the fire

Me (living room) typing a Thanksgiving update in front of the fire while Christmas music plays in the background... about to watch The Holiday or Napolean Dynamite and eat sopaipillas!

During the holidays, my family always plays games. Normally it consists of Monopoly or Scrabble. Today we busted out the Pictionary and Scattergories. Of course our Pictionary game is the Bible edition... can someone please tell me how you are suppoosed to draw "Damascus"?! Wow. And in Scattergories, my mind drew a complete blank with the letter "N" - I ended up getting 1 out of 12 on that list... quite terrible.

Cowboys won their game against the Jets B-I-G, although I thought the game was a tad bit boring... anyone else think so? My favorite highlight was when Romo gave Coach Wade a light high-five... so cute! Can't wait for the Packers game on Thursday - that'll be an awesome game.

SIGNED: HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

I'm glad that you are off today and enjoying more time with your family! I love it! Aaron and I are driving home tonight so that we can spend the weekend with them. But we also went over to my SiL's house yesterday and ate with his immediate family. We have a GREAT game that we are going to be playing this weekend ... "Scene It" for XBOX 360 ... it's so awesome because we don't have to worry about "the board" (or bored) ... because it takes so long to do stuff with the tokens and the board. So this is just the trivia part and the movie clips and stuff like that and it' just perfect! It keeps track of your score ... and even has silly little things that it says to you. But it's really fun and we will definitely be playing it this weekend! (which I'm really excite about)

RYC: about Amy ... BLEH to you. But speaking of Indie singers ... have you heard of "A Fine Frenzy" I'm in love ... she went on tour with Brandi Carlile and came to Dallas and Houston and Austin ... but dang it if I didn't already have plans to go to Galveston for the weekend with the family.

Oh ... did it snow? My grandpa (who's in Arlington at the moment) called yesterday to rub it in that it snowed ;-/
