This past weekend, I traveled down with my dad to join the rest of the family to watch HSU defend it's Conference Title now for five straight years. Lindsay scored the first goal in the 2-0 win which I was so happy for! However, she got hurt later in the game and won't be able to play today.
HSU and Trinity have become rivals since I can remember. I have a particular hatred towards them since their goalie gave me my first ACL/LCL injury back in 2001 in the Sweet 16. The picture above is of some of the alumni... "legends" our former coach calls us... Ha! FYI - there's two pregnant alumni in the picture!
Today's game marks the fourth straight year that the teams have met in the NCAA Tournament having alternated wins with HSU ending the Tigers season in 2004 and 2006 and Trinity defeating the Cowgirls on their home field in 2005. Both have been among the top teams in the national rankings each time they have played.
