The trail is especially lovely this time of year. If you haven't gone yet, I'd encourage you to go. Take a stroll or a skip, listen and look around! Accompanied by the sounds of birds chirping through the tree breezes, everything is green and in full bloom. However, stay alert... on the trail you must avoid racing cyclists, hands-free old man bikers and parades of bladers... most tend not to "Maintain a Safe Speed".
Have you ever been taking a walk and you pass a person with the biggest grin on their face, like they’re just enjoying life or that all is good and right inside? Yeah, that was me… but then again, I just wished I wasn’t carrying a green bag filled of, you know what, as I searched out the next closest trashcan to dispose of the stuff. "Pick Up After Your Pet" is another wonderful sign isn't it? It’s great that dog owners pick up the shiz but then again if there’s not a trash receptacle in close enough range, you’re just some girl walking down the Katy Trail with a big bag of crap swinging in your hand. Personally, I think it’s gross and would rather just leave it to marinate nature or something, but whatever... I'm sure there's guys out there that find girls like us attractive.
So I was walking… and everything was in full bloom, it was lovely. Being an artist, I pick up on all the changing colors, the contrast of it all including the negative space when you see at a plant or tree branch with blooms on it against a pale blue sky. I felt inspired… I love this feeling as it’s given me inspiration and motivation this week.
Things I also thought about while typing this post but did not include:-- More people should own dogs. Dog owners typically exercise more and get outdoors, generally becoming more happy individuals because of their furry friend. Perhaps America’s obesity level would drop if more of us had these little guys. It's pretty much true, don't believe me? Read here.
-- The bird that bugs Zoey Deschanel’s character, Kit in Failure to Launch. What’d she say again? Devil bird! Haha~ "What the hell kind of devil bird chirps at night?"
Jim The Gun Salesman: [persuading her not to buy a large gun and bullet to shoot a mockingbird] First of all, there's this book, "To Kill A Mockingbird"...-- Billy Madison - Flaming Shiz Poo. No need to explain... just that I have thought it when swinging that green bag. Mine would be called a Spring Fling (surprise on your doorstep!)
Kit: Copy that too, just put that book right here
