MAKES ME SIGH

My summer will not be complete until 500 Days of Summer is seen.

Maybe it has captivated my attention because (1) I'm a girl a (2) A hopeful, girl with heartfelt dreams, at that.

The Daily Texan writes, “500 Days of Summer” is a romantic comedy that doesn’t want to be. Detailing the 500-day relationship between Tom, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Summer, played by Zooey Deschanel, the movie takes a hard look at relationships and our archetypes of love, especially the idealized way we approach it. Most importantly, it’s real."

By far the most sweet movie trailor I've seen lately...

Also be sure to check out the music selections, as Joseph Gordon-Levitt mentions, "Marc (director and music video guru) gave me and Zooey iPods at the beginning of shooting with songs that were on his mind, labeled to the day and what scenes they were for. When I’m working, the music that I listen to is a big part of it anyway; I carefully select what I listen to for any given scene. To be on the same page as the director was fantastic, because it makes me feel like I’m on the same page with the movie as a whole. The music in this movie is not an afterthought."

Some songs from the lineup...
Regina Spektor “Us”
The Smiths “There Is A Light That Never Goes Out”
Black Lips “Bad Kids”
The Smiths “Please, Please,
Jack Penate “Have I Been a Fool? “
The Doves “There Goes the Fear”
Temper Trap "Sweet Disposition" (love them)

SIGNED: LOOKS GOOD, YES... REAL IS GOOD.
