SO MANY ACTIVITIES!

The absolute main thing I've wanted to do since we've been here is hike the Kalalau Trail. We've hiked the this trail before to the beach (four mile hike) and it is the most beautiful scenery I've ever taken in. This year we had our sights set on the eight miler, which leads to a waterfall, but mother nature wasn't really cooperating with us today.

The island has been dreadfully windy on the north shore, so even if we did start the hike we'd most likely be blown off the mountain. Since I'd like to make it back to the mainland we kept it indoors, which was still lazily wonderful. Would much rather be kept indoors in Hawaii anytime than anywhere else so here's how our day went down.

-- afternoon of pencil and pen drawing (once I discovered a Decorative Arts book that I'm now in love with)
-- a little work for work.. yes, real work while whale watching
-- laps in the pool
-- oprah special on the c.brown/rihanna story (err, when do you EVER watch oprah in hawaii??)
-- more pencil/pen drawings while listening to citizen cope
-- tennis with sister, colin and mom
-- two mile sisters cogburn run
