UP MY ALLEY

To contrast the rainy and particularly drab morning here in Dallas, I am absolutely loving the bright splashes of color from designer Lisa Whatmough's collection of patchwork furniture. Based out of London, Whatmough, a former painter and sculptor now creates her fabulous furniture collection in classic styles with a hippy-chic twist.

No doubt her style is up my alley. A mix of modern and vintage… assorted, diverse, jumbled, mingled… all around combines into beautiful! And probably if the pieces didn’t cost so dang much I would love having something from her collection in my apartment… I know it would totally rock out the space in my cozy little one bedroom just fine.

Something else! This gas station in Syracuse, New York is another example of some colorful patchwork… just on a larger scale. The execution isn’t as clean but still makes an impact. The story is quite interesting if you have time to read click here.
