Geez, slow slow day and it all started with some wonderful showers with thunder that awoke me at 5:30am. Then (for some dum-dum reason) I turned off all alarms and snoozed until 7:10... but fortunately made it out the door in 20- as to carpool it for one last workday of the week... hooray.
I love driving in the rain. The sprinkles hit the soft top of the go-cart so nicely aaaannnnnd there's absolutely NO day laborers on the I35 road either (ahhh... hallelujah)! It is quite amazing. So today, the little go-cart hit some rough patches of water in the HOV lane and I thought we might hydroplane it once or twice but didn't, thank be the Lord. Making matters probably worse, I tend to let the rain pile up on the windshield as long as possible before wiping it off in one great big-o wiper swoosh. I should probably reconsider my rainy day driving habits since I do commute with a fellow coworker that prob gets a tad freaked and not just because I roll in a go-cart.
Whats up next: Laying low. Tomorrow morning I have plans to run a 5k with a few gal pals... so if I get myself involved in any Friday night drinking games - they will be consisting of agua. Excited though about the 5k since its been since before my last knee surgery that I've run in one... so we'll see about this. More or less, just doing it to do it - it shall be good. Ckids bball tourny - these are always fun (and hot) then a surprise bday party for an old coworker friend aaaand that about rounds it out.
